More than 4,400 students are currently undertaking a higher degree by research at UQ under the support and guidance of the UQ Graduate School. The Graduate School has academic responsibility for managing admissions, providing research scholarships, supporting students during their candidature, and facilitating the examination of theses. The Graduate School coordinates year-round skills training, supports infrastructure and research facilities, and provides opportunities to accelerate career development for HDR candidates.

The role

The Enquiries Coordinator is responsible for the provision of exceptional customer service for stakeholders of the UQ Graduate School and coordinates the team that is the central point of contact for all enquiries. Ensuring every customer's experience with the Graduate School is timely, consistent, professional, and outcomes-oriented is a pivotal focus of this role. The provision of high level administrative support to the PVC (Research Training) and Dean is also an important aspect of this role.

The person

Applicants should possess a bachelor level qualification and/or proven experience in customer service and office coordination or a combination of relevant experience, education and training in a service role. Applicants' exceptional customer service skills will have been developed via experience in a customer service or enquiry role; ideally with exposure to telephone, front counter and email enquiries. Strong executive support and supervisory skills are essential; as are high level interpersonal and communication skills. Capable problem solvers and organisers, applicants will also be highly computer literate and have strong attention to detail.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, continuing appointment at HEW Level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range $66,347.80 - $$74,098.94 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $77,626 - $86,695 p.a.).

  3. High level of written, oral and interpersonal skills; including the ability to effectively liaise with people at all levels of an organisation.
