Would you like to be involved in a seminar series and other research meetings to explore the Roth Collection with a view to gaining further research and research funding?
We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to support a Sadler Seminar Series entitled ‘The Archive after Cecil Roth: Jewish Studies, Cultural History and the Cecil Roth Collection' and to work with staff in the University of Leeds Brotherton Library on the Roth Collection. With a postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Jewish studies, medieval studies, early-modern studies or a related area, you will be responsible for undertaking documentation and repackaging of uncatalogued ephemera in the Roth Collection under the direction of Special Collections staff. You will also provide administrative support for a University research seminar series entitled, ‘The Archive After Cecil Roth: Jewish studies, cultural history and the Cecil Roth Collection; This will involve researching future sources of funding for the research and creating the project's webpages and producing new content (blogs, podcasts/webcasts) based on the research.
