Alumni Support Officer

Throughout its history, The University of Queensland has benefited from the support of its alumni and friends to enhance funding, to deliver world-class research and allow students to reach their full potential. UQ Advancement comprises of three primary portfolios - Alumni Relations & Engagement, Development and Philanthropy, and Advancement Services. The Alumni Relations & Engagement team provides leadership at The University of Queensland on alumni and community engagement, fostering mutually beneficial life-long relationships between UQ and its 250,000+ alumni while enhancing the brand, and raising the profile of UQ globally.

The role

The successful appointee will be the first point of contact for UQ Alumni Relations & Engagement, responsible for greeting visitors and callers. The position is an integral role within the team providing administrative support and event assistance across the team to support a broad range of engagement initiatives.

The person

Applicants should have strong customer service experience, with a demonstrated ability to use tact, diplomacy and sensitivity in this front facing reception role working with the broad UQ community. You should be organised, and be able to work effectively in a small team environment with complex and at times competing priorities.

This role is a full-time position, with working hours of 9am to 5pm to align with the opening hours of the Alumni Centre.

Remuneration

This is a full-time fixed term appointment for 12 months at HEW Level 4. The remuneration package will be in the range $61,179.60 - $65,055.88 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package will be in the range $66,991.66 - $71,236.19 p.a.).
