ICT Lab Coordinator (post level 10/11)

Duties and responsibilities:

• Coordinate the Physical Sciences ICT Laboratory project, which includes to:
  • handle logistics of the project training sessions, including student training sessions
  • manage attendance registers, certificates and other documents
  • prepare of venue and classroom training material for training sessions
  • liaise with schools and Department of Basic Education officials
• Facilitate non-formal and formal Physical Sciences training sessions on secondary and tertiary level with focus on Natural and Physical Sciences
• Develop and upgrade project training material with regard to the integration of ICT's in Sciences teaching and learning - TPCK
• Manage the Physical Sciences ICT Laboratory

Inherent requirements:

• Degree with Physics and Chemistry on first year level
• Experience in FET Physical Sciences teaching at school level
• Valid driver's licence

• Good working knowledge of Information Technology (IT) and intermediate computer skills in MS Office
• Ability to mentor others
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University's richly diverse working environment
• Willing to travel from time to time to fulfil project requirements in Qwaqwa
