ICT Lab Coordinator (post level 10/11)

Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Physical Sciences ICT Laboratory project, which includes to:
- handle logistics of the project training sessions, including student training sessions
- manage attendance registers, certificates and other documents
- prepare of venue and classroom training material for training sessions
- liaise with schools and Department of Basic Education officials
- Facilitate non-formal and formal Physical Sciences training sessions on secondary and tertiary level with focus on Natural and Physical Sciences
- Develop and upgrade project training material with regard to the integration of ICT's in Sciences teaching and learning - TPCK
- Manage the Physical Sciences ICT Laboratory
Inherent requirements:
- Degree with Physics and Chemistry on first year level
- Experience in FET Physical Sciences teaching at school level
- Valid driver's licence
Required competencies:
- Good working knowledge of Information Technology (IT) and intermediate computer skills in MS Office
- Ability to mentor others
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University's richly diverse working environment
- Willing to travel from time to time to fulfil project requirements in Qwaqwa

Recommendations:

- Experience in utilising ICTs in the teaching situation, especially data-logging
Salary:
