Job Details
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Facilitating learning in undergraduate and postgraduate modules, in both contact and distance education modules
- Developing and co-ordinating programmes and modules
- Supervising postgraduate students' research
- Being involved in and managing funded research projects
- Being involved in proposal and report writing
- Being involved in and participating towards the achievement of the Department's key performance indicators
Minimum Requirements
- MEd in Educational Psychology/Psychology or a related field
- Teaching and learning experience in a relevant sector (e.g. visual impairment, inclusive education, disability studies, educational psychology)
- Experience in the development and co-ordination of modules
Required Competencies
- Proven administrative and organisational abilities
- Computer literacy and report writing skills
Added Advantages and Preferences
- Experience in the supervision of postgraduate students' research
- Intention to enrol for postgraduate (i.e. PhD) studies (if without PhD) in the field of visual impairment, inclusive education or disability studies
- Current and recent experience in programme and module development and co-ordination
- Current and recent experience in distance education service delivery
- Participation in funded research projects
- Publication record in accredited journals
The all-inclusive remuneration package for this contract position will be commensurate with the incumbent's level of appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines.
