Job Details
The post-holder will have the role of trial manager for the IMPPP trial, which is evaluating a complex intervention that aims to optimise medicines use in patients using multiple medicines (polypharmacy) in primary care. They will be responsible for day-to-day project management and co-ordination of the trial, ensuring the research is conducted to the highest standards and complies with relevant regulatory and ethical requirements, and is completed on time and within budget. The post-holder will also support the project from an academic perspective, contributing to the methodological design and analysis. There is an expectation that the individual will additionally support the development of wider research in the area of medicines and prescribing. The post provides the opportunity for autonomy and freedom to act independently within organisational policies.
The post-holder will have substantial experience in research in a primary care setting, including multi-centre trial management, experience working in the field of medicines optimisation, and skills in both quantitative and qualitative research. They will have strong team-working, communication and time-management skills and be able to liaise effectively with people in a variety of roles.
Funding is for 48 months at 0.8 FTE
