Experience of multi-step organic synthesis and in the characterisation of complex molecules by NMR spectroscopy, and an interest in conformation and molecular shape, is essential. You should be capable of working under your own initiative and will be expected to interact productively with other members of the research group working on related projects, so excellent communication and organisational skills are also required.
