Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (several posts) in the School of Chinese Medicine

Applications are invited for appointments as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in the School of Chinese Medicine, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess (i) a recognized Bachelor's degree in Chinese Medicine, Chinese herbal medicine or related fields, (ii) a Ph.D. degree in related fields, (iii) proven capacity in research, with a track record of high-quality impactful research in the field of Chinese Medicine or related fields as indicated by publication record and external grants, and (iv) substantial teaching experience in tertiary institution(s). They should be proficient in written and spoken English. The appointees are expected to participate in the planning and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, conduct high quality scholarly research, and provide regular clinical teaching and clinical services in the School of Chinese Medicine (if they possess a certificate of Registration for Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong), and contribute to the administrative duties.  For appointment as Associate Professor, applicants should demonstrate outstanding research achievement with evidence of international recognition, and leadership ability in teaching and curriculum development and research postgraduate education.

A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as leave, and medical benefits.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
