Assistant Professor with doctoral degree (in polish Adiunkt) in the Department of Seismology in K

Institute of Geophysics Polish Academy of Sciences is recruiting a Postdoctoral person to undertake a job in Department of Seismology in Krakow. The employee will join the team, which investigates anthropogenic seismicity processes and their relations to inducing  factors from various technologies.

Requirements:

1. PhD degree in mathematics, physics or earth sciences.
2. Good mathematical background with an orientation towards mathematical statistics. Candidates having experience in statistical data analysis, probabilistic modelling, statistical inference will be preferred.
3. Desirable knowledge of seismology
4. MATLAB or PYTHON programing skills in level allowing code creation.
5. Very good command of English.

 

Employment for 2 years.
