The role

We are currently seeking Tutorial Fellows to work within the Finance discipline area in the UQ Business School. In this position you will engage in the teaching of courses with a finance focus and work alongside other faculty members to improve the design and development of teaching, learning and administrative processes within the School.  Under the supervision of a Lecturer or other senior member of staff, Tutorial Fellows will conduct tutorials and demonstrations, mark essays and assignments, be available for student consultation and assist as required.

The person

A Tutorial Fellow must be a graduate with at least an honours degree or equivalent and will, as a condition of appointment, be a full-time enrolled candidate for a higher degree at The University of Queensland. The appointee will have a demonstrated ability to teach students and to conduct tutorials in finance courses. The preferred applicant will possess high level organisational and communication skills and will have experience in tutorial coordination and administration of large courses, as well as the demonstrated ability to use and engage with current and new teaching technologies.

Remuneration

This is a fixed term, half-time position of up to 18 hours per week appointment at Tutorial fellow level. The remuneration package will be in the range $33,141.75 - $44,642.92 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $36,290 - $43,884 p.a.).
