Job Details

The University of Bristol are looking to appoint a front-end developer to help the University implement a new and exciting digital communications strategy. You'll lead on front-end development, investigating, selecting and building on front-end technical solutions for our digital products.

You'll be as comfortable delivering high quality code as you will be questioning the status quo and prototyping new systems. You'll help shape the technology we use, and how it aligns with user needs and business requirements. You'll get the chance to work with a modern technology stack such as node, React, GraphQL, and headless CMS architecture.

You'll be part of an in-house team in the External Relations division at the University. You'll thrive using agile methods and enjoy working collaboratively with our user experience, design and content specialists.

In return, we offer a great package (including 40 days leave), a chance to make a real difference to our digital output and an exciting and thought-provoking working environment with inspiring colleagues.

Have a read of our blog https://digital-comms.blogs.bristol.ac.uk/ and see the way we work and the kind of projects you could be involved in.

For informal inquiries please contact Jeremy Torrance, Head of Digital Communications, Marketing and Communications Division on jeremy.torrance@bristol.ac.uk

The closing date for applications is 11:59pm on 2nd January 2019.

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world's leading universities.
