Job Purpose

The ‘FGM Sister Study' aims to explore and understand female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) survivors', male partners', and healthcare professionals' preferences for the timing of deinfibulation and their views on how FMG/C-related NHS services can best be delivered. This qualitative research study involves two work packages. The first aims to qualitatively explore the timing preferences for deinfibulation and how NHS FGM/C services can be improved for type 3 FGM/C-survivors (WP1a), male partners (WP1b), and healthcare professionals (HCPs) (WP1c). The post-holder will be based in the Institute of Applied Health Research at the University of Birmingham.
