Job Details
This is a 100% clinical based post within the Institute of Inflammation and Ageing (I&A) at the University of Birmingham and the relevant Rheumatology Units at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust and Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospital NHS Trust. The job purpose is for Trainees in Rheumatology to strengthen their clinical development and to support the RRG academic team in clinical trials and cohorts.
The successful candidate will work 100% in Rheumatology clinical medicine as a Specialty Trainee providing clinical support on the outpatient units with on call cover. The candidate must be eligible to practice in the UK at this level and have specific experience of general medicine. It is expected the candidate to have some experience in general medicine, Rheumatology or clinical immunology.
Person Specification
- First degree in area of specialism (MBChB/ MBBS)
- ST grade with interest in Rheumatology Medicine
- Possess sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes
