18-114    ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR RESEARCH SUPPORT, SNPRC

The Southwest National Primate Research Center (SNPRC) located at the Texas Biomedical Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, invites applications for the Assistant Director for Research Support position. The Assistant Director will be the primary point-of-contact for investigators exploring use of the SNPRC’s resources; will manage the provision of information, pre-award budgets and post-award scheduling/performance of NHP experiments; assist and advise the SNPRC Director and the Associate Director for Research Resources on organizational structure and in day to day activities.

Qualified applicants must have a master’s degree in biological sciences or public health, with extensive experience of research program development and coordination. Preferred: A doctoral degree in biological sciences or public health and previously documented (4+ years) evidence of research program development, coordination, and administration, or a master’s degree in biological sciences and previously documented extensive (8+ years) evidence of research program development, coordination, and administration. Previously documented evidence of program development, coordination, and administration in the NPRC system would be highly preferred.
