Lecturer at the Department of Labor Market Analysis and Forecasting - Economics

The contest is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in art. 109 of the Act of 27 July 2005 Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws No. 164, item 1365, as amended) and in § 67 of the Statute of the University of Economics in Katowice, and also comply with the following eligibility criteria:

• have a PhD degree in economics and at least five years of work experience in didactic or scientific and didactic positions in higher education institutions
• have an economic profile or have a masters degree and at least five years of experience in expert, advisory or managerial positions. In the case of foreigners applying for employment as a lecturer whose higher education diploma, professional title or academic degree can not be considered equivalent to the relevant Polish diploma and professional title under an international agreement, a nostrified school diploma is required,
• have documented experience in teaching classes from the area of ​​statistical and econometric analysis, especially in the scope of application of appropriate tools in the analysis of economic processes, confirmed by a positive assessment made both by the head of the department and students,
• have a documented knowledge of one of the congress languages ​​(preferred English). In the case of foreigners, it is required to demonstrate knowledge of the Polish language,

Additional requirements

• documented organizational or scientific activity involving cooperation with external units of a didactic or scientific nature,
• knowledge of packages and computer programs necessary to conduct classes with the use of modern multimedia techniques.

Duties

A person employed as a lecturer at the Department of Analysis and Forecasting of the Labor Market at the Faculty of Economics will be responsible for the implementation of tasks related to:

• education of students of the University of Economics in Katowice,
• scientific development and research activities including cooperation with scientific institutions and business environment entities
• achieving the objectives of the Faculty and the University, organizational activity for the Department / Faculty / University and other duties entrusted by superiors.

Planned date of employment: 01/03/2019.

Type of contract: fixed-term employment contract.

Gross basic salary:

(full time of work, basic place of work) - 4,200 PLN (in words: four thousand two hundred zlotys).
