Duties and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the reception area at the Teaching and Learning Office.
  • Assist students with enquiries, sign-ups and other related matters with regard to tutorials (in cooperation with the Teaching and Learning Coordinator).
  • Assist with Economic and Management Sciences (EMS) module evaluations (data days) and tutor evaluations.
  • Assist with student data analytics.
  • Assist with administration of teaching and learning projects.
  • Provide ongoing support with faculty timetables.
  • Assist with the general organisation of systems in the EMS Teaching and Learning Office. 

 

Inherent requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree obtained from the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences.

 

Required competencies:

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Exposure in data analysis.
  • Good verbal and communication skills.
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills

 

Recommendation:

  • Provisional acceptance letter for an honours degree or other postgraduate qualification in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences for 2019.
  • Academic contact sessions for postgraduate qualification should be after working hours.

 

The following criteria apply to the selection of candidates:

  • Not currently participating in an existing learnership / internship programme.
  • Willing to sign a learnership / internship agreement with the UFS.
  • Candidate must be available for a period of 11 months.

 

Assumption of duties:

1 February 2019.

Closing date:

7 January 2019.
