This role is for a postdoctoral researcher working within the Research Consortium ‘Unlocking Complex Resources through Lean Processing'.

The research consortium brings together an interdisciplinary team of and the successful candidate will work closely with researchers from mining, mechanical and chemical engineering on industry driven research. We are seeking an excellent candidate with a PhD in computer science. The successful applicant should carry out interdisciplinary work on optimisation and data mining. 

To be successful you will need:

  • PhD in Computer Science (or close to completion)
  • Background on optimization algorithms (mixed integer programming and/or evolutionary computation)
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to carry out industry-driven research.
