Job description

You will lead the Research Integrity & Governance Team (RIG Team), which sits within RIS and provides the core support for research integrity, ethics and research and enterprise policies. This team will be responsible for giving advice and expertise to researchers on all aspects of clinical research governance and other regulatory compliance relevant to research.

Head of Research Integrity and Governance will lead the RIG Team and will have responsibility across all aspects of the advice and support provided in relation to research integrity and regulatory compliance, this will include acting as University Sponsor Representative. As an excellent communicator, you will use your coordination and management skills to raise awareness of policies and procedures to ensure the University's compliance with the Research Integrity Concordat, Department of Health Research Governance Framework (RGF), Clinical Trials Legislation, and other regulations applicable to research.

You will need to have excellent written, presentation and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate at a variety of levels including senior managers in large organisations. You must demonstrate excellent influencing skills and an ability to win hearts and minds of academics and researchers to ensure we foster a culture of research integrity across the University. You must have line manager experience and be a team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others to disseminate and share knowledge and information.
