EMEA Regulatory and Ecotoxicology Manager

I'm currently working with a market leading chemical company with a diverse product range who have gone from strength to strength over recent years as they continue to supply into new markets and industries. They are now looking for a REACh Regulatory Affairs Manager to join a worldwide team Regulatory team of 25 to manager a team in France.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing chemical company that can offer a really varied role. Despite the key requirement being REACh regulation, this supply into a number of key industries such a personal care, healthcare, FMCG, agchem and oilfield to name a few. This means you will have the chance to work within a comprehensive number of regulations including Cosmetics (1223/2009), Biocides (528/2012) and Crop Protection (1107/2009) amongst others. In addition, you will be covering regulatory for the EMEA that will give you a broader scope. This offers a truly unique role where there will always be new things to explore and you won't be limited to singularly focused chemistry where you will continually feel challenged.

This a management position where you will be in charge of your own EMEA regulatory projects while directly leading 4 other experience and motivated professionals. To add additional value to the team, who have a strong mixture of skillsets, you will be heavily focused within Ecotoxicology issues and having an overall impact on minimising the brands risk to the environment. The role will be split into 10:2 where the majority of your time will be spent with more of a technical focus and allow you to balance your own workload with management expectations. Over the mid-to-long term, you will gradually become involved in the strategy of the business where you will be contributing to growth and direction of the company where you will be recognised for your impacts.

While the company is a key player within surfactants with a global reach, they are still relatively small at 200 employees in Europe and 2,000 worldwide where everyone in the company feels like and individual and not just another number. They work across the US, LATAM, APAC and EMEA regions where you will be a key player within the R&D, Regulatory and Sales & Marketing teams offering a very international environment where you can gain new perspectives on approaches to working.

Key Requirements:
* A scientific Background within Toxicology, Ecotoxicology or Biology
* Extensive REACh registrations and compliance experience
* Highly experiences within Ecotoxicology and Environmental Fate
* Additional regulatory experience within Cosmetics, Agchems or Biocides is an advantage
* Proven leadership experience through management of direct reports
* Proven experience dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
* A professional level of French and English
