We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join the International Medieval Congress (IMC) team. You will provide high quality, customer-focused support in the organisation of the annual International Medieval Congress. Working as part of the Institute's International Medieval Congress Team, you will provide a range of clerical support for all aspects of the Congress Administration, including the programme proposal stage, production of the academic programme, and the overseeing and managing of the registration processes with specific responsibility for accurate data input. With experience in a communications and/or a marketing role, you will possess excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the ability to communicate and liaise effectively with both academic and a range of non-academic audiences. An interest in the European Middle Ages is required, and a degree or postgraduate degree within the areas of medieval studies is desirable. You will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages and will have experience in payment handling, and in working in a customer-focussed role.The Congress in 2019 will be from 1-4 July at the University's Main Campus. The Congress Officer is required to work from the preceding Saturday through to the Thursday evening, including evenings.
