The Role

The successful candidate will undertake and contribute to applied research projects, using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Subsequently, the successful candidate will prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, prepare materials for presentation at both national and international conferences, present (both oral and written) research outcomes and convert into academic papers in high quality journals. Preparing research tenders, grant proposals, liaising with industry and government partners and human ethics submissions are also part of this role. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with both academic and professional staff within the UQ Business School and other organisational units, including the UQ Business School's thought leadership series.

 

The Person

Applicants should possess (or have recently submitted) a PhD in the area of Social Psychology. You'll need demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of working in a marketing context, plus experience in both quantitative and qualitative research. Experience in conducting high-level statistics (such as MLM and meta-analyses), proficiency in SPSS and R, evidence of publications in high quality journals (relative to opportunity), plus excellent communication skills (verbal, non-verbal and written) are a must.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $66,283 - $89,285 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $77,551 - $104,463 p.a.).
