Job Details
Department of NeuroRepair at MMRC PAS offers a position of Head of the department in the field of expertise including biology of glial cells and neurogenesis, studying mechanisms of selected neurodegenerative disorders and elaborating regenerative strategies based of pharmacological treatments and stem/progenitor cell application.
Requirements:
- PhD followed by habilitation in biology, medical science, or related documented scientific achievements, including scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field of biology of glial and stem/progenitor cells, as well as neurodegenerative disorders (also as the first or corresponding author)
- Participation in organization of scientific conferences and events aimed to comprehensibly present science to broad audiences
- Creativity, openness to new challenges, and very good organization of laboratory work,
- Experience in gaining funds and leading research projects and in the field of human resources
- Good knowledge of English
- Indication Mossakowski Medical Research Centre Polish Academy of Sciences as a first place of employment
Description of functions under the workplace:
- To direct of scientific laboratory
- To design scientific profile of the laboratory
- To prepare, supervise and conduct research projects
- To evaluate data and publish results in peer review journals with significant impact factor
- To prepare grant applications and report research results.
- To introduce new methods to improve the quality of scientific research
