Job Details

Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Perform general office administration.
  • Unpack and pack text books and study material.
  • Assist with handing out of text books and study material.
  • Manage and count courier deliveries of text books.
  • Count and courier study material and text books to sub regions.
  • Take stock for ordering of text books per semester.
  • Obtain, update and print class lists.
  • Assist with requisitions for text books and stationery on the system.
  • Make photocopies, count test papers and courier tests papers on a weekly basis.
  • Assist with processing of lists for debiting the book fees per semester.
  • Liaise with Co-ordinators and TVET Campus Co-ordinators regarding administrative matters.
  • Assist with organising the examinations, including the following, download the examination time table from the system, collect the examination papers from the Exam Division, packaging of answer books of answer books and dispatching this to the regions, also assisting with the applications for the additional examinations and distributing examination answer papers to the Co-ordinators at the Bloemfontein Campus for moderating.
  • Order stationery for the Co-ordinators.
  • Assist with invoices and Examination claim forms and any other applicable claims.
  • Send sms'es (text messages) to students as requested.
  • Compile the agenda for the meeting between the Head of Access and the coordinators and attend to minute keeping.
  • Organise meetings and functions.
  • UFS vehicle bookings and managing of fuel etc.

Inherent requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • One year administration experience in a higher education environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
