Job Details
To assist in research (by reviewing literature and/or carrying out data collection, analyses and model based analysis) to create knowledge through providing research support for health economic research relating to Global Health and specifically Global surgery and other studies related to this Global Health Portfolio. This post holder will support the research of the exciting health economics team working on Global Health, by assisting with and undertaking literature reviews, carrying out model based analysis and scenario analysis, exploring impacts of different scenarios for costs and outcomes, and potentially quality of life and/or disability adjusted life years.
Person Specification
Skilled in quantitative methods for Health Economic Analysis
- A Masters degree in Health Economics or a related quantitative subject and/or professional success and achievement
- Sufficient knowledge of health economics and/or research methods and techniques to work within each specified project
- Familiarity with relevant software
- Very good communication skills and confidence to deal with a variety of senior researchers
- Particularly good writing skills
- Ability to work to fixed deadlines
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly
- Fluency in relevant models, techniques or methods and ability to contribute to developing new ones
- Ability to assess resource requirements and use resources effectively
- Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes
