Assistant Officer: (post level 13)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform general office administration and management.
  • Coordinate and administer Student Leadership Development Programmes.
  • Manage and coordinate the Student Leadership Development's team of student assistants and volunteers.
  • Collect and manage data for report writing, programme research and project assignments.
  • Keep electronic diary of the Department Head.
  • Handle financial administration (expenses, purchase orders and claims).
  • Perform logistical tasks and organisation of the Student Leadership Development Training courses and projects.

 

Inherent requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • One (1) year administrative experience.

 

Required competencies:

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures.
  • Knowledge of financial policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of relevant office protocols.
  • Ability to organise logistics efficiently.
  • Ability to manage data and records with precision.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work after hours intermittently to coordinate and assist with implementation of projects.

 

Recommendations:

  • Two (2) years relevant administrative experience.
  • Participation in or involvement with organisation of Leadership Development programmes.
  • Driver's License.
  • Record of active student life involvement.
  • Computer/Technical skills - Internet explorer.

 

Assumption of duties:

01 April 2019.
