A Local Authority based in the Essex region is seeking an experienced Social Work practitioner to join their newly created adoption service.

    • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Adoption Social Worker to take on a Senior post and to help drive the development of this newly created service. Previously the Local Authority had outsourced their Adoption service, this now is being brought back "in house" as a part of the wider Family Placement Service which will see staff from other service work together to provide a more holistic package of care,

    The Local Authority is an innovative organisation and is currently working on a number of projects such as the development of a Social Care predication model and the development of a FGM centre to help increase awareness of issues. As a member of staff you will be encouraged to become involved in projects which can help develop practice as well as your own skills and experience. Those candidates who are career focused can also take advantage of the Aspiring Managers Programme which is a fast track pathway into management.

    To be considered for this post you should have extensive Adoption experience.
