Job Details
The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification at GCSE, or NVQ level 2/3, or equivalent level, plus relevant work experience. A relevant degree level qualification is preferred, including BTEC, in microbiology, geomicrobiology, molecular biology, environmental chemistry, biochemistry, or equivalent. The candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, creativity and initiative and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also required, as is the ability to take a positive and flexible approach to work in order to deal with a variety of requests and tasks. The post is available as part-time or full time (21-35 hours/week), fixed funding (8-16 months depending on hours of work).
