Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences

The Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences is a strong faculty that has a coherent focus on health and well-being underpinned by a clear integrative theme related to preventative health and behaviour change.  Furthermore, the Faculty provides the opportunity for the non-medical health sciences to have a stronger voice and greater visibility within the University.

School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences

The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences includes the professional disciplines of Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech Pathology.  All disciplines within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences are active in research and are making significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge in their professions. The School offers Research Higher Degree programs in all disciplines.

 

The role

Prospective applicants will have a strong interest in the social, ethical and/or philosophical aspects of healthcare. The project will require participants to work closely and sensitively with participants including practising clinicians and people with low back pain.

 

The person

The successful applicant will have qualifications and training equivalent to an undergraduate degree in the social or health sciences or an equivalent combination of relevant experience/education/training as relevant to the role. They will also possess excellent time management and organisational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. The successful applicant will also have general research skills including basic experience with qualitative research methodologies.

Remuneration

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed-term appointment for 8 months at HEW Level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range $66,347.80 - $74,098.94 FTE p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $72,650.84 - $81,138.33 FTE p.a.).
