 In this newly created role, the University of Leeds is seeking to appoint an Operations Director to support the Chief Operating Officer in delivering a wide range of operational and strategic initiatives across the University. This is an exciting opportunity to shape, consult and advise at the highest levels in a circa £700m turnover organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will support the effective operation of the University ensuring that its activities are properly aligned and managed effectively to ensure the implementation of the strategic plan.

The focus of the Operations Director role will be to work in close partnership with the executive group and other senior stakeholders through a persuasive and engaging style, bringing the University along with you to ensure strategic alignment and transformational change. The University of Leeds is seeking an outstanding individual who can question and challenge, influence colleagues, lead change and achieve results. You will be a results-orientated, highly collaborative systems-thinker, with a proven track record in delivering major programmes. You will have a breadth of experience across a number of operational areas and have an understanding of the research process or an equivalent area of business critical activity. As an inspiring leader, you will have the ability to influence colleagues across the University, delivering through effective matrix leadership.
