Job Details

The Research Support Center for Population Mental Health (NAPSaMP) of the University of São Paulo offers an opportunity for a Direct Doctorate scholarship funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), granted as a budget item in the SEADE / FAPESP Cooperation Agreement -- Thematic Project "Mortality of Mental Disorders" (grant number 2017/03771-9). The general objective of the doctoral project is to estimate the general mortality and target group mortality by specific causes (external causes, chronic diseases, suicide) in people hospitalized for the first time in their lives for mental disorders and to calculate if there is an excess mortality in patients compared with the general population. 

 

Profile of the candidate

The vacancy is open to Brazilians and foreigners. The candidate must have a degree in Health areas or related fields. The candidate is expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills and competences in psychopathology, epidemiology, computer science and information technology. The scholarship presupposes exclusive dedication to the course and research. The scholarship holder can not have an employment relationship and can not receive, during the lifetime of the FAPESP scholarship, a scholarship from another entity, salary or remuneration.

Documents required for registration: a) Updated Curriculum; b) Graduation school history; c) Diploma or certificate of graduation; d) Description of the academic, scientific and professional activities developed by the candidate.

The selection process will consist of curriculum analysis and interview.
