A well-performing Authority in the Berkshire area is looking for a Social Worker to join their Assessment team on an ongoing contract.

The Assessment service is very stable, with mostly permanent staff and some ongoing locum contractors. This is what helps keep the caseload stable and really low, which sustains the high working satisfaction in the authority.

The area has incredible transport links, which comes very useful in an assessment team. This means you can beat the daily traffic instead of sitting in it and actually have more time to complete your cases properly, instead of working into the evenings.

Upon joining, you will be met with an ongoing contract which will provide you with the same job stability which your colleagues will have. This removes the worry that locums face towards the end of their contracts, especially if you would like to find a post with a low caseload.

This is an Assessment based team, so you will need to describe the R&A process in an interview. You will also need an HCPC registration and experience as a Social Worker, ideally a couple of years.
