Geo-technical Engineer
Location: Kent and Hertfordshire
Salary (£): £20,000 - £32,000 (Depending on experience)

My client is a leading Geo-technical ground investigation consultancy, which is currently experiencing growth across the UK due to successfully winning large scale projects. They are now looking to grow their teams in Kent and Hertfordshire with a Geo-technical Engineer who has strong site based experience.
You will have the chance to work on a wide variety of projects from small scale to large multi-million pound frameworks which will expose your skill set to different environments and allow you to deepen your technical ability in Ground Investigation. Further to this, you will also have the chance to transition into more office based work with interpretive reporting and project management. This will allow you to have the best of both worlds in GI and Consultancy work.

This rapidly growing Site Investigation company is well established for allowing their employees to boost their careers in any direction they choose. They achieve this by allowing you to demonstrate your innovative abilities and contribute ideas to make the projects more efficiently run and to a higher standard. Also due to the fact that they are a subsidiary to a large multinational Environmental Consultancy, this also allows for engineering geologists to go down the consultancy route if they choose.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Interpretive and factual report writing
* Phase II Site Investigation
* Conducting preliminary risk assessments (phase 1 desk studies) and intrusive ground investigations
* Managing Site Activities (Trial Pitting and Drilling Supervision)
* Managing Sub Contractors
* Logging to BS5930
* Geo-environmental and Geo-technical scheduling.

Skills and experience:
* 1 - 5 years Ground Investigation/Site Investigation Experience (UK Experience Only)
* BSc degree level qualified in geology or related environmental subjects
* Factual report writing and Interpretive Report writing (if possible)
* Be able to work well in a team, demonstrate a proactive approach, follow instructions and be self motivated
* Good communication skills to liaise with other members of the project
* CSCS Cards
* Valid UK driving license
