Job Details
The Institute of Functional Surfaces (iFS) is a large multidisciplinary research institute focusing on understanding engineering processes at real engineering interfaces. A large part of the work is focused towards corrosion in the oil and gas sector.
You will undertake academic research in the field of matrix acidizing corrosion as defined in a detailed work plan to be developed with Dr Barker in conjunction with Schlumberger Corrosion Research on your appointment.
You will have a PhD in a relevant discipline, a good first degree (2:1 or above) in engineering or physical science and experience in oilfield corrosion and the use of test cells for corrosion and/or electrochemical study. You will also have experience of a number of analytical techniques, including advanced surface analysis, electrochemistry and research analysis.
