Job Details
The University is seeking to recruit a BMS Technician within the Estates department. This position is full-time and open-ended working Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 hours.
The University of Bristol Estates Division is responsible for providing efficient, effective and compliant building and engineering services across all University buildings whether owned or leased. The University Estate covers three main areas of the Main Campus, Langford and Stoke Bishop.
This position sits within the Estates Unit of Facilities Management - Hard Services, which comprises of all planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, compliance, statutory maintenance and capital maintenance.
Responsibilities and requirements
The main job responsibilities are to assist the maintenance staff with HVAC, BMS and controls issues as they arise. They will also support the Sustainability Manager (BEMS) with the improvement of the University's BMS, specification and integration of systems within new projects & building refurbishments, energy monitoring and carbon reduction initiatives.
The post holder will be an active member of the Facilities Management Hard Services team and will assist in providing and maintaining a high quality of service. The work is varied and interesting, the work will primarily be reactive maintenance, the post holder will also be expected to carry out planned preventative maintenance as part of their duties.
We are looking for an experienced building services/HVAC Technician with significant BMS experience, either mechanically or electrically qualified who has multi skilled experience working in the Facilities Maintenance sector.
