Job Details

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Coordinate, develop and designing of E-Learning Courseware on Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Facilitate Bankseta Online courses on Blackboard
  • Liaise project development needs between LMS internal & external stakeholders.
  • Provide logistical support to LMS internal & external stakeholders on development queries about content submission.
  • Plan, develop & monitor the project plan, schedule & bags for Bankseta LMS.
  • Continuously maintain, develop, improve & update the internal & external process and production schedule for Bankseta LMS
  • Responsible for Bankseta Online Courses: Blackboard User Enrolments and Basic Technical Support
  • Create, administrate, manage & support specific online course WhatsApp support group for the Bankseta Online courses
  • Provide administrative support towards online learning modules on the official Learning Management System (Blackboard).
  • Continuously do checks on the materials and activities developed on LMS
  • Responsible for the development of user interface design and the creation, user experience design and other graphic elements for multiple digital devices as well as blackboard content.
  • Responsible for design briefs within the constraints of cost and time.
  • Responsible to contribute ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
  • Responsible to establish and maintain standards using graphic design industry best practices for facility use, graphic layouts, trends and time management. Responsible for working on layouts and art working pages ready for online, digital and print usage.
  • Think creatively and out of the box to produce new ideas and concepts.
  • Work as part of a team with open learning designers, photographers, videographers, illustrators, web developers and marketing brand specialists within the UFS.
  • Work with a wide range of media, including photography, traditional art, animation and video.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Flash.
  • Co-responsible for creating and sourcing all graphics, marketing materials and marketing for IDEAS Lab.
  • Ensure that all graphics used in training material and course adhere to copyright usage.
  • Provide assistance regarding the organising of special events


Inherent requirements:
  • • A relevant Bachelor's degree (for example in Education, Instructional Design or Graphic design, Communication design, incl. UI & UX, Illustration, Visual Art, 3d Design or Film/Television).
  • • Five (5) years' experience in Multimedia Design and/or three (3) years' experience in Courseware Design and Material Development and/or three (3) years' experience in Facilitation.


Required competencies:
  • Knowledge of design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Flash.
  • Knowledge of layout design.
  • Knowledge of how images and text will go together on a print or webpage.
  • Knowledge regarding the process of transforming statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams.
  • Collaboration with writers to find the best way to present written texts.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when finalizing designs.
  • Time management and the ability to cope with several projects at a time.
  • A flexible approach when working in a team.
  • Proofreading to produce high quality work.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and respond appropriately to different people, situations, cultures or environments.

Recommendations:
  • Experience in the higher education sector or Instructional Design and Courseware development.
  • Experience in the graphic design industry.
  • Experience of design programs such as In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Blackboard and Flash.
  • Experience of layout design.
  • Experience of how images and text will go together on a print or webpage.
  • Knowledge regarding the process of transforming statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams.
  • Clear understanding of the UFS branding guidelines
