Are you an ambitious academic keen to develop your teaching and research? Do you have research interests that align with our strengths in cultural production and media policy, international communication, journalism studies, political communication, visual media, or digital cultures?

The School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds is a highly ranked department with a vibrant research culture and a commitment to excellence in teaching.

The School seeks to two Lecturers in Media and Communication to join us from September 2019 for a period of 12 months. We are seeking candidates with a PhD in media and communication or another related subject (PhD should have been either awarded or submitted for examination in the last twelve months, taking into account career breaks where relevant) and demonstrated potential to achieve internationally recognised standards of excellence. We are also looking for candidates with some teaching experience and a passion for further developing their teaching practice.

Please note: This post is fixed term because it is a clearly defined fellowship, training or other career development position. The post is designed to offer you the chance to develop your skills and experience in teaching and research, in a leading media school, for a period of one academic year. It is not intended that the position will be renewed beyond the end of the fixed term period.
