UQ Finance is responsible for the enabling achievement of the University's strategic ambitions by securing UQ's financial future through expert advice, systems and support. The key specialist service areas of Finance are:
Finance at UQ operates within a devolved environment with Finance staff located in Professional Services teams in Faculties, Research Institutes and Central Divisions supported by Finance specialist service teams. This position sits within the transactional services team in the Science Professional Service team.
The role
The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective execution and administration of both routine and complex finance transaction processing and analysis to meet the operational and service delivery needs of the client portfolio.
There is a continuing appointment available at the Herston campus and multiple fixed-term appointments at the St Lucia Campus.
The person
The successful applicant will have Degree qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or a related field with relevant experience in transactions processing or shared services functions and/or equivalent combination of relevant training and professional experience. A demonstrated ability to apply problem solving and analytical skills to investigate and ensure the resolution of any issues within the parameters of policy frameworks is a requirement for this position.
Remuneration
There are Continuing and Fixed Term appointments available at HEW Level 6. The remuneration package will be in the range $77,400 to $83,267 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be between $90,558 and $97,422 p.a.).
