Information Technology Services
Information Technology Services (ITS) provides a wide range of IT services to over 46,000 students, 7,000 academic and general staff, and 7,000 users in the wider community. This includes providing administrative, teaching, learning and research support to our customers across UQ and beyond.
ITS is part of the Chief Operating Officer's portfolio and is responsible for all IT needs for central services within the University, which includes the campus network, internet access, audio-visual technology in central teaching spaces and more.

The role
The primary responsibility of the ICT Procurement Manager is to provide leadership for the ICT category management approach in place at the University, and support significant ICT procurement activities to ensure they meet stakeholder expectations and deliver value to the University. You will be responsible for coordinating the ICT Category Management approach for the University, developing frameworks and processes to ensure appropriate management of procurement activities relating to ICT are in place. The ICT Category Manager works closely with a broad audience, including:
The role and their team support the effective procurement of ICT goods and services including the publishing of tenders and expressions of interest.
The person
Individuals that possess skills and experience in ICT Category Management, Procurement or a related discipline (legal/finance) will succeed in the role. Those with the ability to influence others are particularly encouraged to review the Position Description for detailed requirements and apply.
It is a condition of employment for this role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.

Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment (6 months) at at HEW Level 9. The remuneration package will be in the range $113,095 - $119,678 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $132,321 - $140,023 p.a.).
The University of Queensland also offers other competitive options including salary sacrificing, on campus childcare, leave packaging and discounted private health insurance as well as many other benefits.
