Research Fellow - Health Psychology

As a Research Fellow on the study, you will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination and delivery of high quality research on the study, with the support of the Principal Investigators Dr Arvind Nagra, Dr Anne-Sophie Darlington and Dr Alejandra Recio-Saucedo. The post holder will be responsible for planning and conducting systematic literature reviewing, data collection, analysis and interpretation and dissemination of findings of this project.

Our investigation aims to refine a prototype online game for children with chronic kidney disease, working in collaboration with children and young people. The aim of the game is to increase knowledge and develop self-management skills. We will also carry out preliminary testing of the game in clinics. Through workshops with children and young people we will co-design the content and format of the game ensuring that the tasks in the game meet the expectations of a young audience.

You will have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Health Psychology or a related area, such as health services research, child health, nursing and have:

You will need to work effectively with members of the study team including patient representatives, research and administrative staff. You will also need to work effectively with health care professionals and members of the public/service users to develop, deliver and disseminate the work of the research project.

*Applications for Research Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon successful completion of the PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
