iSolutions provides a broad and complex range of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services to support our diverse user community of students and University staff. We operate across multiple campuses in the Southampton and Winchester areas and are increasingly diversifying internationally with a campus in southern Malaysia and multiple international collaborations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen with iSolutions for a Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team of Business Analysts, Project Managers, Test Analysts and IT Training. A wide range of projects and business as usual activities are completed to maintain and improve current services and to introduce new services that deliver to a diverse user community of over 35, 000 University students and staff.

To be successful in this role you will have a skill level equivalent to achievement of HND, Degree, NVQ4 or a business analysis qualification such as BCS in Business Analysis at Foundation or Practitioner level. You will be able to apply your business and systems analysis skills and knowledge to identify business needs, operational efficiencies and future technical solutions. You are able to work proactively with users and stakeholders to elicit current and future working practices through the analysis, validation and mapping of systems and processes in a way that clearly identifies requirements, acceptance criteria and business benefits. You must then be able to prepare documentation, effective diagrams, and presentations that communicate the details, need, benefits and implications of the changes.

Further desirable experience includes; involvement in the procurement of IT systems, an awareness of PRINCE2 and management of small projects, agile development techniques, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), knowledge of Enterprise scale technical systems and HE organisations.

The role will be based primarily at our offices in 1 Guildhall Square, Southampton but will involve travelling and working at other university campuses.
