- Data-capturing and editing of study material (including study guides, textbooks, PowerPoint slides, lecture notes) and University related material in a coordinated manner within the Data-capturing, Editing and Braille Production team of CUADS.
- Data capturing: Copying and scanning of original printed text.
- Editing: Preparing material electronically for production in Braille or E-text by correcting or modifying it according to Braille standards and readable in JAWS.
- Produce audio material by reading study material.
- Amanuensis during tests and examinations
Inherent requirements:
- Grade 12 and must be computer literate.
- One (1) year experience within the field of disabilities.
- One (1) year experience working experience in a Higher Education institution
Required competencies:
- Knowledge in editing/word processing.
- Knowledge in production of accessible material for visually impaired students.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to manage data and records with precision.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Recommendations:
- Two years' experience in data capturing and editing of study material.
