Job Purpose

The Administrator (Post Award Finance) is part of the College's core administrative team and provides a high-quality, co-ordinated level of service to the College for risk analysis and management of externally funded research grants.

The role is a key member of the College specialist post-award administration team and provides an essential support service to the academic community and the Institute Managers in providing post award financial management and administration for research accounts considered to be high-risk.

Working to the Assistant Finance Business Partner and in collaboration with Institute Managers, Principal Investigators and colleagues in the central research finance team, the post holder will manage these high-risk research accounts effectively to both prevent loss of income and alleviate Institute and College financial pressures created by research overspends.

The post holder will be required to maintain appropriate records in order to be able to report financial risks to Institute Directors and Managers across the College. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in other Institutes being based part time within the College Post Award hub.
